Getting started
From account to your first live widget in a newsletter, in six steps.
- Create a free account and confirm your email address. Then choose your brand: your colors, font and corners. New widgets take them over.
- Above your widgets, click the type you want, for example Countdown. Set it up: the preview on the right shows exactly what your readers will see.
- Click Save and then Copy embed code.
- Paste the code into your newsletter, in an HTML or code block. How that works is below, per email tool.
- Send yourself a test email: from Fiig with Send me a test email, or from your email tool. Test emails and previews don't count as opens.
- Send your newsletter. Your widget shows how often it was opened per day.
Good to know
The embed code fixes the image's width and height. Keep them and don't make the widget smaller in your email tool: change the size in Fiig, so it stays sharp. On a phone it shrinks by itself.
If you change a widget in Fiig, emails already sent show the change too. So you don't need to paste the code again after a change.
Outlook for Windows only shows a countdown's first frame, and in dark mode email programs adjust colors. Read more in the FAQ.
